Since the very first day coming to the world, we already start consuming things, milk, clothes and little stuff. And we are fed by our parents then we grow up and even at the point we can make money ourselves, we use the money to buy stuff for ourselves and others. We consume most of the time. Sadly because of that, we tend to take things for granted. We think that as humans we rule the world and especially when we can get almost anything easily now, we hardly appreciate it.

Only if it happens that something become scarce, we learn how important it is to us. However, do we have to wait until that happens though? I think we don’t have to. Making or producing is a great way to understand how things are made and through the journey of making, we learn more about the hard work and the challenges of bring things into life. Going through the process is the best way to appreciate the process that gets result.

Draw to learn how hard it is to make a piece of art and craft.

Play an instrument to learn how challenging it is to get a beautiful sound.

Write to appreciate a book.

Cook to understand what it takes for your mom or a chef to make a good dish.

Make a software to understand tech stuff we have been using daily, the good and the bad as well.

Knit to love every piece of clothes we gave.

If possible, try making everything you use in your life.

Living a life to the fullest also means appreciating everything we get.
