Going to office

I have not been to office from September 2019 so it has been more than 2 years. Yet I really miss the feeling of going to a physical place and of getting to say “Hi!” or to catch up with folks. Having said that, the idea of waking up and just working straight in your pijama is very comfortable and appealing too.

Now it happened that my home does not have wifi, I had no choice other than heading to Starbuck to work. This morning, the walk there gave me a different experience. I got to sense the smell of cheese which reminds me of Vietnamese baguette we usually have for breakfast. Walking also feels like walking to school with the excitement that this is a beginning of a new day. Seeing the cars, you get to feel what is really happening out there, a sense of moving.

Once I arrived to Starbuck and went to order something, I put my mug there for convenience and one staff was saying “this is so cute”. The saying wakes me up a bit, a reminder of life, a call of interdependence.

It’s just nice to do things I have not done for a while and to feel the sense of being present in a physical place. Nothing can replace that.
